Travel Information to Emei Mountain

1. Access to Mount Emei
By Plane
The nearest airport is Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, around 120 km away with a 1.5-hour drive.
Route: Airport shuttle bus → Xinnanmen Bus Station → Coach to Mount Emei.
Departure time: 7:20 – 19:20, one bus every 30 minutes. Fare: 43 RMB.

High-speed Railway (Recommended)
Arrive at Emeishan Railway Station, 5 km from the scenic area.
Trains run from Chengdu East / Chengdu South Railway Station. Travel time: about 1 hour. Second-class ticket: 65 RMB. Operating hours: 7:42 – 20:57.
Connections after arrival:
– Bus Route 5A / 601: Fare 5 RMB, 5-10 minutes to Baoguo Temple / Huangwan Tourist Center.
– Taxi: 15-30 RMB, 20 minutes to the tourist center.

Coach
Buses depart from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station to Emeishan Coach Terminal.
Travel time: 2.5 hours. Fare: 48 RMB. Frequent schedules.

Self-driving
Route: Chengdu → Chengle Expressway → Huangwan Tourist Center. Driving time: 1.5 – 2 hours.
Parking fee: 20 RMB per day.
Note: Private vehicles are not allowed past Lingongli. Please take scenic shuttle buses during peak seasons.

2. Transportation Inside the Scenic Area
Scenic Shuttle Bus (Mandatory)
Round-trip ticket for the whole mountain: 90 RMB per person, valid for 2 days.
Routes cover Baoguo Temple ↔ Leidongping, Wannian Temple and Wuxian’gang.
Operating hours (peak season): 5:30 – 17:00; Buses from Leidongping run until 18:00.

Cableways
– Golden Summit Cableway: Peak season: Up 65 RMB / Down 55 RMB; Off-season: Up 30 RMB / Down 20 RMB.
– Wannian Temple Cableway: Peak season: Up 65 RMB / Down 45 RMB; Off-season: Up 30 RMB / Down 20 RMB.
